agency partners on weather and climate related impacts and messaging to alert the impacted public. He is the Warning
Coordination Meteorologist at NOAA National Weather Service San Diego.

Jason currently serves as Communications Manager at the Southern California Earthquake Center, (SCEC) headquartered at the University of Southern California, where he leads and supports Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills, Earthquake Country Alliance, and TsunamiZone.org activities. Jason has directed campaigns that have been nationally and internationally recognized.
Gabriele is the owner of Brain + Bullish, a company that helps public servants reach their storytelling potential and strengthen their imagination muscle. Previously, she was an emergency manager for local and global crises and served on FEMA's National Advisory Council from 2016-2019.
Jordan Villwock (M.S.) has been the Emergency Operations Coordinator for the Laguna Beach Police Department for 15 years. He received the California Emergency Services Gold Award for their Evacuation Plan and Shelter Plan from the City of Laguna Beach and Jordan was honored as one of the 2018 Top 100 Most Influential People in Orange County by the Orange County Register due to his work with Emergency Alerting.

Dr Tetlan's focus is on creating 2D formats for learning based on how the brain processes information. She applies scientific constructs to create effective visual information, both for print and electronic media. She is credited for defining the field of cognitive-based information design (CID). Sean M. Griffin is President of Disaster Intelligence, a public benefit company that advances data science and research for intelligent decision making before, during, and after disasters. Sean previously served as Director for Incident Management Integration Policy at the White House National Security Council and at the U.S. Departments of Defense, Energy, and State.
Trinidad is a Chilean graphic designer specialised in content management, mainly focused on print and information design projects. Nowadays, she is doing freelance work related to editorial and audiovisual communication.
Gregory Vigneaux works at the intersection of design, complexity, and human experience to develop new pathways toward the management of risk. A former wildland firefighter for the National Park Service and United States Forest Service, he is currently a cofounder at the Adapt Institute.
Gillian Harvey is an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design at the University of Alberta. She holds an MA in Information Design from the University of Reading, UK. Harvey has had extensive experience building interdisciplinary, collaborative teams. She has served as principal researcher of two Alberta Health Services teams involving over one dozen collaborators from across Canada.
