This social marketing calendar has a disaster-centred focus. In the list below you’ll find a mix of international days observed by the United Nations and specific disaster anniversaries. Also included are days that may be relevant to the work that you’re doing, for example by highlighting vulnerable groups. Not all days listed may be relevant to you, however it is worth considering them as an invitation to reflect upon how your work may interact with the topic.
It is intended as a tool to create and share relevant content and marketing campaigns on social media or other channels. The idea is to grab the audience’s attention by sharing relevant and creative content at times when people may already be primed about certain topics, thus taking advantage of pre-existing interest or curiosity.
